Why screen recordings fit easily
Screen recordings are mostly static UI with small moving parts, so they need far fewer bits than camera video. A 2–3 minute 1080p recording usually fits in 10 MB while text stays readable — keep Resolution: Original so small UI text isn’t blurred.
Same limit elsewhere
- GitLab: 10 MB by default (self-hosted instances may differ).
- Notion (free plan): 5 MB per file — choose the Notion preset under Advanced.
- Jira, Linear, Zendesk and other trackers have their own limits; set the slider accordingly.
Tips for bug reports
- Keep just the part where the bug happens (Advanced settings → Trim, split & name).
- Sound is rarely needed — untick “Keep sound” to save space.
