HEVC Main/Main10 L4.1 1080p60; L5.1 4K60 up to 60 Mbps on UHD models.
Sound: Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, AAC, HE-AAC in MKV/MP4/TS. DTS is not supported on 2020 models; sources disagree about later years.
Subtitles must be in the same folder with the same name as the video.

Questions

Why does my LG show “unsupported audio”?

The track is DTS (or TrueHD). Convert just the sound — the video is copied.
