How the space is shared
CompressLab gives every file the same “bits per pixel” — the fair way to keep quality equal when episodes differ in length and resolution. Files that are already small are left as they are; when there isn’t enough room the resolution steps down (4K → 1440p → 1080p → 720p) rather than turning blocky.
| Stick | 45-min episodes at 1080p | at 720p |
|---|---|---|
| 16 GB | ≈ 12 | ≈ 25 |
| 32 GB | ≈ 25 | ≈ 50 |
| 64 GB | ≈ 50 | ≈ 100 |

Folders and names
Names like “Show.Name.S01E02.1080p…”, “Show - 1x02” or “Season 1 Episode 2” become Show Name/Season 01/Show Name S01E02.mp4, characters FAT32 doesn’t allow are replaced, and episodes are sorted naturally (2 before 10).
Questions
Which is better on a TV: 720p at a higher bitrate or 1080p at a lower one?
Below roughly 0.045 bits per pixel 1080p gets blocky, and 720p looks cleaner. CompressLab picks the step automatically.
Can I add more episodes later?
Yes — run a new batch with the space that’s left on the stick as the size.
